The past few months have been busy.
I started a new project that is different from what I have always done. I even had to upskill by taking an online course. It has been an interesting time, and I am excited to start speaking about it. It is purpose-driven, showing me how limitless my potential and abilities are.
A few things that I have learned on this new journey:
• Speak to other people who have done something similar and make a lot of notes. Learning from others will save you a lot of time and energy.
• Don't be intimidated by the amount of expertise required, it is okay to start with what you know.
• Be aware and confident of the value you offer and then create your pricing plan accordingly.
• It is important to enhance your knowledge, so take a course from reputable trainers. You'll be surprised at the number of free or subsidized training you can find.
• It is never too early to start teaching people; teaching helped me spot some knowledge gaps.
• Outsource the elements you are not skilled in handling; being a 'Jack of all Trades' is not a flex.
• Finally, it is never too early to start creating structures and policies; it will help you work smarter and faster.
So, this year is all about becoming all I am meant to be, being willing to move away from what has always been comfortable and 'safe’ by charting new courses for myself and for the people I am meant to impact.
Cheers to a new season of exploits, increase, and advancement.
